She was an amazing and devoted mother who enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker. She was beautiful inside and out and was a very loving and gentle soul.
She is survived by her two sons Dylan, and Jacob. Dawn is also survived by parents Deborah and Louis Michaud of Stratford; paternal father, Timothy Farland of West Haven; Brother, Darin Farland and his sons Theodore and Elijah; her sister and best friend Danielle Elwood and husband William Elwood of Shelton and their children Camden, Benjamin, and Addison; maternal Grandmother Valerie Rodick of Homosassa Florida; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by her best friend David Tkacs of Stratford and ever loving husband Frank Lanzante Jr.
The family would like to thank friends and family who sat vigil by her bedside during the duration of her stay in the hospital. They would also like to thank VITAS Hospice, who, without their support, would have made this journey much harder.
Special thanks also to the seventh floor nursing staff including: PCT's, students, and our personal angel the Chaplain, Raphaella.
Friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. A Funeral service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. during calling hours.. Interment will be private. The family asks in lieu of flowers, a donation to be made to McDonald Funeral Home to help defray the costs of the service.
